Flow Mismatching · real MVTec-AD data (cable, cable_swap defect)

Flow mismatching on a real image

t = 0.03
input test image (cable, swapped-wire defect)
velocity-mismatch heatmap, t = 0.03
cumulative mismatch, w(t)=t²-weighted up to current t
0.0 (low mismatch)
1.0 (high mismatch)
t = 0.03

Drag the slider to see the velocity-mismatch heatmap evolve across ODE time t, computed directly on a real MVTec-AD test image (no synthetic toy data) using the trained flow-mismatching model. The green outline marks the ground-truth defect region. Middle: this single t alone -- early and late t are noisier. Right: the running w(t)=t²-weighted combination of every step up to the current one, which localizes tightly to the actual defect as it builds up. Past the end of the slider, both panels show the final, fully time-weighted detector output.

Accumulated mismatch score

Running w(t)=t²-weighted integral of the mean per-t heatmap value, up to the current scrub position.
